This week theme is Winter Wonderland. I live in Alabama and we hardly EVER get snow. An occasional snow flurry is usually all if that. Last week we were hit with a winter storm. I measured 5 inches of snow. All of the schools around here were out for the entire week, LOL! I know that sounds crazy for some, but the roads were iced over so bad. Anyway, I had fun taking pics in the snow...not something I get to do very often. I had a hard time picking which one I should enter.

I'm entering this contest next to the last minute :) It has to be a photo that was taken in Sept. or Oct. I couldn't decide what photo to use, especially since my photo taking has been slower these two months due to the kids starting school and me starting a new job.

I forgot I about this one that was taken in Sept...YEAH! of my daughter. They were having western day at school. I love this shot.

Halloween Sweet Treat

I'm offering mini sessions for Halloween photos. Have your little one photographed in their Halloween costume. Mini sessions last 30-45 minutes. You'll receive 5-10 images on a flashdrive. That's right! I'll give you the full resolution images to own. I'll even suggest a fabulous and affordable printing lab for you to have them printed at. Each additional child will be $20 each (must be siblings). Mini session's are only $75, but only until September 30th. So don't wait, book now I only have a few spots open.

I Heart Faces Pets Challenge....Purrrrfect Timing HA:)

Corny title I know, but it fit so good:) Seriously I just created a post about my first experience photographing animals...I mean I JUST posted it. Then I look over at I Heart Faces blog and guess what? The challenge was on pets. It was hard for me to pick to pick which to enter, but I do think the picture of the cat is my fav. so this is the one I'm entering.

Play time....for me or the dogs???

I have been wanting to photograph some animals for a while now. And since all of my pets have passed on, I called up my friend Debbie, who owns Slocum Ridge Pet Camp and asked her if I could come and "play" with her dogs:)

I started out working for Debbie when I was 15 years old. I worked under her, at a local pet store, in the grooming salon. Later she opened her own boarding kennel. I worked there for a few years, until I finally decided to be a full time mom. Anyway, I knew exactly where I needed to go to find some beautiful dogs.

And if you are in my area and need a place for your doggie to stay while on vacation, Slocum Ridge Pet Camp is AWESOME!!!!

And then to my surprise, when going through the photos at home, I couldn't believe I caught this beauty. I thought all of the pics I tried to get of the cat were duds.

My sweet baby girl

I was in the mood to take some photos of my little girl today. Lucky for me she was in the mood too:) I think it was b/c she got to get all dressed up and try out some of my new props/wardrobe I bought last night :)

I love this age, but I know it goes way too fast.

Meet My Clan

I've never posted pics of my kids here on my photog blog. I usually keep them on my personal blog, but I'm finding it harder and harder to keep up with all of my "addictions". I'm trying to decide if I should combine my two blogs into one??? Hmmmm, still not sure about that. Anywho's, I know most of you already know all of my kids, but for my clients and cyber friends I thought I would go ahead a create a post for them to "meet" them too:)

Here is my oldest and one and only son. He just turned 14 and he is an amazing son, and brother to all of his sisters!

My oldest daughter, just turned 11. She is like a little mother. If I ever leave them with someone, I always tell them if you have any questions...ask her. She is oh so talented. Loves music and arts. She gets the music from her father and the arts from myself :D

My, baby, well, actually she isn't my baby any more, but at times it still feels if though she is. She'll turn 9 this summer. What a sweet and tender heart this girl has. She doesn't know how to hurt anyone (except for maybe her siblings) This is my girly girl. I get all my dress's and ribbon fix on her :D

And now for the baby, the real baby, the one that has everyone wrapped around her little pinky. Just turned 3 and what an adventure it has been. She is a charmer for sure. But she can be just as mean as she is sweet. I don't think I've gotten anyone to believe this yet.

So there you have it, my 4 wonderful kiddos. Oh how they bring such joy to my life!

Had a swimming party to photograph yesterday. Unfortunately the thunder prevented the kids from actually getting to swim. However the kids really didn't seem to mind much and found ways to have fun anyway. Thanks for trusting in me to photograph this precious child's birthday.

Girls, Girls, and more Girls

This past weekend I had the opportunity to photograph an old friends 4 BEAUTIFUL girls. YES FOUR!!

2 of them so happens to be TWINS! They were my first set of twins to photograph, and they were so precious. All of the girls were so well behaved! Every time I look at one of their photos I can't help but to smile :)

I LOVE when I have a photo shoot and my subjects are so good at posing. Seriously, all I had to say was can you give me this look, and BAM! They nailed it!

This is a gorgeous family, and I can not wait to see their new arrival.

These two girls belong to a good friend of mine. The first time I photographed the oldest was when she was about 8 months old!!! Oh my, how time flies. That was when I was still using film :D Anyway they were soooo SUPER! and can I just say, the camera LOVES them! Thank you Hope! You have always believed in me and encourage me in what I do. Your little girls are Angels! and I'm so glad you chose me to photograph them.

NO, I didn't just get engaged. We've been married for 14 years:) My hubby bought me some roses and I stuck my ring in them to take a picture. It won photo of the day at Digital Image Cafe for the theme category during Feb.

Here is my edited version. I don't normally like chopping off heads, but today I liked this crop. ;)

I used one of Coffee Shop's vintage actions. I played around with the layers settings until I got to a place that I liked. Then I did an 8x10 crop.

This week at i heart faces we are suppose to use a texture or two:) in your photo. I used one of my photos I took of my oldest daughter last year and re edited it. I was pleased with the out come. Well to photograph that is. My friend, who's maternity shots I recently done, today was her baby shower, and my birthday. :)

She had a HUGE turn out! It was very relaxing and enjoyable. She even had one of her maternity photos displayed on the table. ;)

I got to practice on baby Alexis today. This was my first real newborn shoot. I think it went pretty well. It was way more difficult than I anticipated, but I think we got some good shots.
